This is the last photo of the male sawn goose for this trip.
Next up, black necked grebes.
Then we made our way to the trumpeter duo - still no nest.
There was also a farm duck in with them, along with a few other birds.
Mostly mallards....
We eventually left the trumpeters and moved on....
...to the Bewick duo - no nest.
What's up with the Trumpeters and the Bewicks? Why no nests?
ReplyDeletethe trumpeters are too young. Swans take up to five years before pairing off and multiplying.the bewicks are the same age but had one brood already - then this is their second year of not having any
