BIRD NEWS: 898

We were back in Arundel the next weekend, passing by an egret in the fields on our way out of Arundel headed to Amberley and back for our hike.

We passed some Carolina ducks as we went through Arundel at the start of our trek.

The closer we got to Amberley did not get us closer to the birds - this one is so distant you can only see a small black dot instead of the coot. On our return back towards Arundel we passed the hay strewn fields and spotted birdlife.

There were a pair of buzzards and a red kite in the air - one landed.

I took several shots - none spectacular, but all pretty in view.

Back in Arundel, we stopped off at Swanbourne Lake briefly and caught the cygnets enjoying their lake with ducks and other water birds...

...and the pigeons on the tree. Some of the seagulls were resting on the row-boats. There were half in use by humans rowing them and half occupied by seagull!

  1. Wow, what spectacular views!

For some reason, the text in this post is all black. I was able to read it easily enough by highlighting it, but I thought you might like to know.
