BIRD NEWS:195

There was a blue-tit munching in the woodland hide, and a jackdaw too. I could not recall having seen jackdaws when I had last visited but do not know if they are seasonal visitors when rearing young or have just discovered the new food supply and decided to relocate into the territory.

We moved along a bit further and spotted another moorhen. My next shot might be of little surprise to regular readers - although anyone recently tuned in and reading about the waterfowl on the reserve might be amazed to spot a wood pigeon.

Here is another feeder - and doesn't that look like a pigeon walking towards us! Talking of pigeons, as we neared the end of our rambles and approached the stroll towards the cafe area, we came across this colorful fellow - as well as the jackdaw and duck.

Ah, there was the cafe and talk of having coffees resumed amongst us. We all drink coffee as well as enjoy birdwatching.
